BKBM has provided restoration services on a variety of buildings and parking structures. We have expertise in evaluation and rehabilitation of facades and concrete, masonry, steel, and timber structural systems. Repair and restoration services vary from project to project and have included sealant replacement, concrete surface repairs, mortar repair, and replacement of post-tensioning or mild steel reinforcing. Pillsbury Hall Rehabilitation
Originally constructed in 1889, Pillsbury Hall is the second-oldest building on the University of Minnesota campus. The building was fully rehabilitated to house the English Department.
Ridgedale Library
Remodel of existing library to modernize layout and improve functionality that included a new mechanical penthouse, façade restoration, and site improvements.
Mill City Museum
Provided engineering design for the restoration and renovation of a historic mill complex that had survived three devastating fires, 1928, 1991 and 1996, since it was originally built in 1879.
Valspar Lab Campus Building 4
Provided structural, civil, and restoration engineering for a major remodel to accomplish re-purposing a vacant building for state of the art research and test labs to enable Valspar, Inc. to consolidate their North American Research and Test Lab capabilities into one campus.
Macalester College - Old Main Building
The project included the evaluation and restoration of the four–story brick stone and brick masonry building envelope. The building is listed on the National Historic Register.
NorthMarq Parking Ramp Repairs
Provided structural/restoration engineering services for the repair of concrete columns that had deteriorated concrete at the base of the column.
Comcast Parking Ramp Repairs
Performed structural/restoration engineering services for repairs to an existing 289’x224’ parking structure.
