Harnessing real-world experience at BKBM to shape the future of a structural engineering student.
Introducing Ryan Jurgemeyer, our Structural Intern based in our Denver office. In his fourth year at the University of Colorado Boulder, Ryan is just one semester away from completing his degree.
As an intern at BKBM, his main focus is achieving the EIT Training modules alongside BKBM's Education Project Manager, James Dorr. In addition to this detailed training module, he has been diligently updating structures to accommodate new equipment at a well-known brewery in Colorado.
One of Ryan's most valuable takeaways from his time at BKBM is the team's emphasis on designing cost-effective and easily constructible structures, an essential foundation for his future career.
Ryan loves to immerse himself in the great outdoors when he's not busy with his internship. Hiking, reading, and climbing are his favorite pastimes. Recently, he embarked on a thrilling challenge of conquering the Colorado 14ers, successfully summiting both Mt Belford and Mt Oxford last month with a close friend. The 11-mile round trip with a staggering elevation gain of nearly 6000 feet was undoubtedly demanding, but the accomplishment made it all worthwhile.
Congratulations on a job well done, Ryan, and thank you for your contributions to the BKBM team.
