Performed civil and structural engineering services for the design of a new 82,000 square foot, three-story classroom building located on the northwest end of the existing campus.

The building structure consisted of a steel bar joist and metal deck roof, precast plank floors, and perimeter exterior masonry bearing walls. The foundation system utilized a combination of grade beams, pile caps, and driven steel piles for the building structure and aggregate piers for the slab on grade.
Design required coordination and a connection to the Kopp Center Addition that was concurrent in design by another design team. Structural design was also coordinated with the artist to support and connect the artwork to the primary structure along the south curtain wall and in the connecting link to the Kopp Center.
Civil design consisted of the redevelopment of three acres adjacent to the new building. New parking areas, a fire access lane and walkways were developed. Civil design included new water, sanitary, and storm sewer services. Stormwater management was provided for both this project and a concurrent parking ramp project for the college through the use of a stormwater infiltration pond and underground storage tanks.
