The project consisted of designing stormwater features to improve drainage and treatment of the church’s stormwater runoff.
Location: Minnetonka Beach, MN
Client: Hart Howerton
Services: Conceptual Planning, Grading and Drainage Design, Project Peer Reviews, Erosion/Sediment Control, Stormwater Management
BKBM assisted the church in applying for and getting approval for a cost share program from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District that covered half the design and construction cost for the stormwater improvements. BKBM also used a combination of pervious pavements and existing infiltration basins to achieve the goals of the City of Minnetonka Beach and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. Specifically, BKBM used a Percoa permeable concrete system due to the high traffic use on and near the pervious system.
