About the Role

As a Structural Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping multi-family housing and a diverse array of projects across the Midwest. You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients from concept to construction, with opportunities to take on increased responsibility and advance toward project management.


Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Engage with multidisciplinary project teams (architects, engineers, clients).
  • Attend and contribute to meetings (virtual and onsite), relaying structural considerations.
  • Collaborate with Revit-based designers, EITs, and other engineers to develop detailed construction documents.

Field Observations & Assessments

  • Participate in site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
  • Document findings and collaborate with senior staff for recommendations and solutions.

Project Diversity

  • Work across project types—including schools, medical facilities, and residential buildings—with a special focus on multi-family housing.
  • Design using multiple materials: steel, masonry, precast/post-tensioned concrete, and wood.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5–10 years related experience preferred
  • Strong technical foundation in analysis, design, and construction documentation
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software and Revit (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and mentor junior staff
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about continuous learning
