College of Saint Benedict Athletic Complex, Minnesota

A new Alumni Center featuring a press box, alumni lounge, locker rooms, training facilities and more was at the heart of this project. Additionally, a new soccer dugout and softball grandstand added much needed amenities to the new athletic fields.

We worked hand-in-hand with the architect and contractor to come up with an efficient design that kept to the intent and vision the College wanted.  The Alumni Center features large open spaces with large windows to allow for plenty of opportunities to see the athletic fields.

The soccer dugout included a combination of cantilevered walls and moment frames to allow for a clean structural system.  Custom V-shaped beams created a unique trough to channel water off of the roof.

The softball grandstand is a multi-sloped steel roof structure.  Steel columns were used to maximize the views to the field.  The dugouts include precast plank roof which was chosen for its shallow structure and overall durability.
