In preliminary design meetings with the Lakeville South High School’s athletic director, principal, and district facilities director; BKBM was able to clearly define the how the existing field was currently being used and what the anticipated uses would be in the upcoming years.  This critical step helped BKBM to ensure the final product would meet/exceed the end user’s expectations.

After defining the user’s expectations, the design team provided hands on examples of the different types of turf systems and a comprehensive list of old and new turf systems throughout the Twin Cities area.  This step in the process helped the school gain a better understanding of the products available to them.  This also allowed the design team to better describe the advantages and disadvantages of the various types of turf systems.

Through attention to detail and listening to the District, the design team was able to provide construction documents for the turf system that met the school’s expectations and remained within the construction budget.
