BKBM provided structural engineering services for the new 65,000-square-foot Bioscience & Health Careers Center (BHCC) in Brooklyn Park, MN. Designed to serve as the front door to campus, the state-of-the-art academic facility brings together classrooms, specialized labs, and collaborative environments for science and healthcare education.

- Science and Health Careers Facility:
- Spaces include biology and chemistry labs, medical lab technology suites, science preparation and instrumentation rooms, and advanced nursing simulation labs.
- The two-story facility also features an outdoor courtyard, a student lounge with a fireplace and coffee bar, and a dedicated main link to the campus’s existing entrance.
- Structural System:
- Utilized concrete pan and joist framing for the primary structure.
- Incorporated a structural steel penthouse and conventional foundation systems supporting long-term durability.
- Fully met Minnesota B3 Sustainable Building Guidelines.
